THE INVERNESS HOTEL AND CONFERENCE CENTER CONTINUES MOTHER’S DAY BUFFET TRADITION

(ENGLEWOOD, Colo.) – Making Mom feel special is a tradition at The Inverness Hotel and Conference Center, which announced Mother’s Day festivities for 2006. Mother’s Day Brunch will be served Sunday, May 14, in the Garden Terrace and Columbine Room beginning at 9 a.m.

Brunch will be served from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Cost is $36.95 for adults and $15.95 for children ages 4 to 10. Regular a la carte dinner seating will be available from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Reservations are required and may be made by calling 303-799-5800.

A selection of gourmet salads, imported and domestic cheeses, crisp vegetables, fresh seafood and pastas will be on display, along with hot-from-the-oven breads, muffins and baked goods.

Special breakfast selections include made-to-order vanilla and chocolate waffles with warm maple syrup, whipped butter, mixed berries and whipped cream, along with a complete hot pancakes with a variety of toppings. The omelet station, features farm-fresh eggs, or Eggbeaters served any style, accompanied by ham, sausage, bacon, shrimp, mushrooms, peppers, tomatoes, olives, onions, jalapenos, cheddar and jack cheeses.

At the carving station, choose from Garlic-Pepper-Crusted Prime Rib with a rosemary au jus and horseradish cream or Roast Pork Loin stuffed with dried fruits with a port wine reduction and pickled red onion chutney.

Highlights among the warm entrees include Pinon-Crusted Lamb Chops with Rosemary Demiglaze and Jalapeno-Tomato Salsa, Roasted Chicken stuffed with Plum Tomato and Spinach with Seared Artichoke Bottoms and Pinot Gris Jus, Vanilla Seared Halibut with Melon and Citrus Relish over Classic Buerre Blanc, Green and White Asparagus Vegetable Medley – Béarnaise Sauce, Mixed Sweet and Russet Duchesse Potatoes and Basmati-Orzo Pilaf with Lemon Thyme and Oven Cured Tomato.

Be sure mom saves room for dessert, this year featuring an array of assorted fresh fruits, cheesecakes, pastries, pies and puddings, along with the classic Inverness Fruit Pizza, Double Chocolate Mousse, sugar-free temptations and more.

In addition, a kids buffet will feature fun foods, including French toast sticks, chicken tenders, mini corn dogs, tater tots, junior burgers, mac’n’cheese and Mudpie Pudding Flower Pots with Gummi Worms among other tasty treats.
