Orly Ripmaster is New Director of Reservations at The Inverness HotelResort Taps Employee with Years of Domestic and Overseas Hospitality Experience ENGLEWOOD, Colo. – January 16, 2008 - Orly Ripmaster brings nine years of domestic and international hospitality experience to her new role as director of reservations at The Inverness Hotel, a Destination Hotels and Resorts AAA Four-Diamond property. As director of reservations, she manages a staff of four, and manages online and phone reservations, develops cross-selling hotel service initiatives and is a member of the hotel's leisure strategy team, focused on increasing hotel leisure business. In addition to her related work experience, Ripmaster brings a team-driven attitude cemented from her career as a former professional soccer player and her ability to speak three languages enables her to greet guests in English, French or Italian. "Orly has the past successes, energy and life experience that enhances hospitality and makes The Inverness such an interesting and vibrant place," said George Fischer, managing director of The Inverness Hotel. "She is focused on excellence and provides a new perspective to her role. She also relates well to our diverse guests and her high energy pursuits in championship skiing, professional soccer and riding rodeo prepare her well for the many demands of the job." Perhaps a career in hospitality was inevitable for someone born into a family that owns a rental management company, based in Colorado. Ripmaster graduated cum laude from Harvard University as an undergraduate and later pursued a masters in journalism, but discovered she enjoyed the hospitality job she held while attending University of Colorado graduate school and switched career direction. Prior to joining The Inverness Hotel, Ripmaster worked at other area hotels and resorts including the Vail Cascade Resort & Spa, the St. Julien in Boulder and Ripmaster Properties. An accomplished athlete, Ripmaster played professional soccer with NM Cüppen, as the first American to play with the Norwegian professional women's soccer league. She was elected as one of Boulder County's Top 10 Athletes of the Decade, coached girls high school soccer, founded and directed Panther Soccer Camp, was a champion skier and participated in rodeo for a summer. For cultural pursuits she studied Impressionism and 18th century French Literature in Paris, where one of the rental properties her family managed was located.
