The Inverness Hotel Completes $9 Million Renovation and Adds New Spa
Nov. 29, 2006

(Englewood, CO.) - New Spa delivers a destination spa experience in a convenient urban locale.

Twenty-five minutes. A small sliver of time to part from the BlackBerry, work routine or business meeting to enjoy some "me time." That is the premise behind the new express services available at The Spa at The Inverness Hotel, a Destination Hotels & Resorts property. The newly constructed 4,500-square-foot spa is the centerpiece and final phase of the hotel's 15-month, $9 million renovation effort. Styled in contemporary elegance, each component of this makeover, including guestrooms, restaurants conference facilities and the new spa, update the hotel's image to reflect a more modern and upscale Colorado lifestyle. The addition of the spa diversifies the hotel's suite of services and strengthens its position as the premiere hotel for both business and leisure gatherings.

Sparkling new, the spa features six individual treatment rooms and a couple's suite for various soothing massages, soaks, facials, wraps, scrubs and signature body treatments. The express spa treatments are all 25 minutes and guests that select from this menu will enjoy preferred seating at all five of the hotel's restaurants or the opportunity to pre-order a meal to go for an additional cost. Added amenities include a relaxation suite, men's and women's locker rooms, a private outdoor hot tub and fireplace, as well as entree to the hotel's various facilities such as pool, fitness center, tennis courts, outdoor garden and boutique shops. The express service line complements the Spa's full-service menu and is available regular spa hours (8:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.). Although advance reservations are recommended, drop-in guests are welcome based on availability.

"We all go the extra mile each day, whether it's at work, at home with the kids or on a business trip; but more often than not, we don't reward ourselves for that extra effort," said Katie Pederson, spa director at The Inverness Hotel. "Our express services aim to rectify that life imbalance and offer the overburdened multitudes a convenient urban retreat to achieve physical renewal, inner balance and an escape for just a little while."

With the opening of The Spa, The Inverness Hotel's renovation efforts are complete. All 302 guestrooms and suites were appointed with a luxurious bedding package, contemporary lighting and décor and new window treatments to reflect an upscale yet comfortable Colorado lifestyle. Denver dining icon The Swan, was transformed with tremendous success into Baca, a casually upscale dinner locale serving authentic Colorado cuisine with a Spanish flair. The Inverness remade its casual dining experience into The Spotted Dog, an English Pub-themed eatery that emphasizes social interaction with a variety of traditional pub games and activities. Conference facilities were also improved with upgraded audiovisual equipment, more than 900 new ergonomic Herman Miller Aeron chairs, as well as new carpet and upgraded tackable wall surfaces.
