New Head Golf Professional Takes Over at The Inverness
July 19, 2004

Lemke to Emphasize Enjoyment of the Game and Keeping Things Moving on the World Class Course

(ENGLEWOOD, CO) ? Jim Lemke has taken the helm as head golf professional at The Inverness Hotel and Conference Center.

?I am thrilled to be part of the great team here at Inverness,? stated Lemke, whose career as a golf professional spans more than 14 years at notable Colorado properties.  ?Inverness is a high-end private club and resort that offers state of the art, high tech conference services as well as a course that can challenge top players and beginners alike.  You can really run the ball up on our course since it doesn?t encourage a lot of forced carries.  This creates a great atmosphere that we are very proud of.?

Most recently Lemke was assistant golf professional at the Pinehurst Country Club in Denver.  Lemke, a 1980 graduate of Western Illinois University, also served as golf professional for two years at Lone Tree Country Club in Lone Tree, Colorado.

?It may sound like a ?no-brainer? but my general philosophy is to encourage players to enjoy every round of golf.  Sometimes things can get a little serious out on the course.  I feel that with all the serious things going on the world today, we should do all we can to preserve the game as a time for fun and relaxation.?

?I?m also trying to give golfers more of an experience through our Pace of Play program,? explains Lemke.  ?We understand that people don?t like to wait around too much on the course.  They may have a meeting or another engagement to go to, so our course rangers gently move people along if necessary, holding players to a total time limit of four hours and 15 minutes per round.?

Lemke spends his free time with his wife Debi and their two sons, Josh, age five, and Nate, age two.  Jim and Debbie are currently busy remodeling their home.
