The Inverness Announces Mother's Day Festivities
(ENGLEWOOD, Colo.) ? With a broad range of dining options and entertainment for all ages, The Inverness Hotel and Conference Center has planned Mother?s Day festivities to appeal to mom and the whole family. Mother?s Day Brunch will be served Sunday, May 9, in the Garden Terrace and Columbine Room, and a special four course dinner will be presented in The Swan. Highlights among the warm entrees include sweet ricotta filled crepes with apple-cinnamon compote, thyme-seared mahi mahi and crab-stuffed breast of capon. The carving station will feature serrano ham wrapped beef tenderloin and baked sole en croute with lobster mousse. At the omelet station, guests can take advantage of made-to-order egg creations with all the traditional fixins. Sweet indulgences span an array of muffins, breads and pastries, alongside The Inverness? classic fruit pizza, mocha almond and vanilla bean cheesecake, and warm milk chocolate bread pudding. A selection of sugar free desserts also will be available. In addition, a kiddie buffet will feature fun kid-style foods, including French toast sticks, chicken fingers, mac?n?cheese and pudding. The Swan Guests can choose from three starters, including seared sea scallops, a warm brie and apricot tart or buffalo carpaccio. The second course features a chilled salad with French beans and roasted baby beets or local mushroom soup with fried leeks and shrimp dumpling. Main entr?e selections include the cashew-crusted Alaskan halibut, blue crab cakes, prime sirloin steak or free-range chicken breast.
