The Inverness Plans Day-Long Easter Celebration

 (ENGLEWOOD, Colo.) ?  Easter Bunny, watch out.  The Inverness Hotel and Conference Center has its own basket of treats in celebration of Easter this year.  From a petting zoo to egg hunts to one of the most expansive brunch buffets in town, The Inverness has planned a day of activities to appeal to guests of all ages.

Special events and activities for the day include:

Easter Bunny Visits            10 a.m. to 3 p.m.               Throughout lobby and restaurants

In addition, brunch will be served in the Garden Terrace on Easter Sunday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.  The buffet will offer an array of salads and fruits, carving and omelet stations, an assortment of warm entrees and sides, dessert, and even a kiddie buffet for the littlest guest.  Cost is $34.95 for adults and $15.95 for children ages 4-10.

Feature items among the salads and fruits are the rosemary marinated lamb and root vegetable salad with cabernet reduction, smoked pheasant salad with dried blueberries, and the bibb and red endive lettuces with cambozlo and champagne-pink grapefruit vinaigrette.  Cheese lovers take note, the buffet also will offer an extensive imported and domestic cheese display, and a tomato and fresh mozzarella display.

Standout items at the carving station will include the clove studded country ham and a black olive pesto-rubbed Alaskan halibut.  A variety of traditional items complement the warm specialty dishes, which range from Godiva-filled French toast to chicken saltimbocca with roasted garlic couscous to spinach tortellini with bay scallops.

Alongside the variety of activities planned for kids, youngsters can have more hands-on fun at a buffet just for them.  Kid-friendly foods include French toast sticks, mini cheeseburgers, mac-and-cheese and assorted Easter candies.

If candy isn't quite the cure, a mountain of sweets awaits.  Options include warm pineapple and macadamia nut bread pudding with rum, triple chocolate cheesecake, vanilla bean-white chocolate mousse torte, and a selection of danish, fruit breads, tarts and pastries.
