(ENGLEWOOD, Colo.) ? As a committed member of the surrounding community, The Inverness Hotel and Conference Center will be participating in several charity partnerships throughout 2004. Among this year's partners are Family Pathways and the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.
"We have elected to focus our support on a select number of community and charitable partnerships this year," said Gary Fries, vice president and managing director. "A more narrowed focus allows us to dedicate more substantial resources to each cause, and we are able to select partners that most closely represent our mission and passion at The Inverness."
This year, The Inverness will support Family Pathways via it's annual golf tournament. Family Pathways offers a variety of resources to address issues of child abuse, including counseling, adoption services and education programs.
The Inverness also is continuing an ongoing partnership with the Denver affiliate for the Susan G. Komen Foundation to host the Rally for a Cure Golf Tournament. The tournament draws an average of 140 Denver-area participants each year, earning recognition as one of the largest contributors in the nation.
In addition, The Inverness is dedicated to preserving its ongoing support of the Children's Hospital and one of its largest annual fundraisers, the Metropolitan Homes Golf Tournament. The Inverness also will again host the Joe Sakic Celebrity Classic event in support of the Food Bank of the Rockies.
