Eric Scuiller Named Executive Chef at Inverness Hotel & Golf
June 03, 2002

New Chef Is One of Only 250 in World to Hold Prestigious Master Chef of France Designation

DENVER, Colo. ? Eric Scuiller has been named executive chef at Inverness Hotel & Golf Club, the award-winning 302-room hotel, conference center and golf club in the Denver Tech Center. He began his duties at the Inverness in April.

Scuiller has more than 20 years of experience as an executive chef and chef de cuisine in hotel and resort kitchens around the world. He is one of only 250 chefs in the world ? and the only chef in Colorado ? who has received the title of maitre cuisinier de France ? master chef of France ? from the Association des Maitres Cuisiniers de France in Paris.

Although classically trained at Culinary College Chaptal in France, Scuiller?s food and cooking philosophy reflect the influences of his travels in the international culinary world. Most recently, he was executive chef and food and beverage director at Callaway Gardens Resort and Golf Club near Atlanta.

His other experience includes three years as executive chef at Paris Las Vegas, where he assisted in planning and designing the new hotel?s kitchens; seven years at chef de cuisine at Bally?s in Las Vegas; top-level assignments in hotel and resort kitchens in Beverly Hills, Calif., and Anguilla, British West Indies; and five years with Club Med, where seasonal assignments as a chef de cuisine took him to resorts in Switzerland, Greece, Mexico, Italy, Spain, the Bahamas and Colorado.

As executive chef at the Inverness, Scuiller is responsible for the kitchens in the hotel?s five dining experiences, which include the award-winning Swan and Garden Terrace restaurants, and also oversees the food preparation for the resort?s conference and banquet facilities.

Scuiller plans no major changes for the Inverness? menus, noting that his focus will be on maintaining the high culinary standards that are already a tradition.

?I will make some minor adjustments and bring my own personal touch to the core product,? Scuiller said. ?But I won?t change much because what I have to work with is already excellent.?
